Scouting report: The Gray Bees are the biggest mystery this winter among the nation's elite. There is no question that first-year coach McLeod – fresh off two years as an assistant at Indiana University – has put together a top-flight roster. It's difficult to project how 11 new faces will interact on the floor, though.
Headlining the newcomers are seniors Gray and Harris, junior Beckham and sophomore Young. Gray joined the program from nearby Don Bosco Prep, while Harris – the younger brother of Tennessee freshman Tobias Harris – made the move from New York's Half Hollow Hills West. Beckham, from Lexington, Ky., is expected to fill the point guard spot, and Young caused a stir in the Pittsburgh area as a freshman.
McLeod's search for talent also drew in players from Maryland (Artis) and Indiana (Langkabel). The Gray Bees have their usual contingent of foreign talent, including Mbargorba (Cameroon), Misters (Lithuania), Gabby Anglero (Puerto Rico) and Nehemias Morillo (Dominican Republic).
The schedule includes games with Life Center Academy, Arlington Country Day, Penn Wood, St. Frances Academy and Montrose Christian.
