High school football rankings: No. 1 IMG Academy set to begin season

Three Top 25 high school football teams were in action this past week and all cruised to easy victories. No. 14 Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) improved to 3-0 and won its state-best 29th consecutive game beating Bingham (South Jordan, Utah) 42-20 in a nationally televised game.

Jaxson Dart accounted for nearly 400 yards total offense and threw for six touchdowns. He now has 17 total touchdowns with no interceptions in 2020.

No. 20 Thompson (Alabaster, Ala.) beat Sparkman (Harvest, Ala.) 39-7 to begin the year 2-0 as the defending 7A state champs have won six straight dating back to last year.

No. 23 Pickerington Central (Pickerington) rolled past Pickerington North (Pickerington) 35-9 on Sunday in its season opener. The defending Ohio Division I state champions have won two of the past three state titles and will be in contention again this year.

No. 1 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), No. 5 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) and No. 9 Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.) get started this week. There was no movement in this week's Top 25 rankings. MaxPreps Top 25 High School Football Rankings
