Punahou knocked St. Louis (Honolulu) from the unbeaten ranks in Hawaii with a 64-44 win and moved up to No. 16 in the MaxPreps west region football computer rankings.
St. Louis is still ranked ahead of Punahou at No. 15, dropping five spots from No. 10.
Bishop Gorman maintained its No. 1 ranking following a triple-overtime win over St. Thomas Aquinas, but the Gaels' lead over idle Mater Dei narrowed to less than seven points, 97.4 to 90.9.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The West region consists of teams from Hawaii, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
