Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.
Game of Inches
Marshwood made away with the most precarious win of the week when it squared off against Kennebunk. Marshwood won an extremely close contest against Kennebunk with a final score of 14 - 13. As a result, Marshwood rose one spot in the power rankings.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another outing, another win last week for the team with the longest stretch of success (11 consecutive games). Foxcroft enjoyed a cozy 43 - 26 win over Bucksport. Foxcroft saw its record improve to 6-0 and its power rank jump four places as a result.
No Stoppin 'Em
Thornton Academy and Scarborough went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (74) among all power ranked teams. Thornton Academy took its contest against Scarborough by a conclusive 53 - 21 score. The win raised Thornton Academy up two spots in the power rankings.
