WBCA Division 5 all-state teams
Durst led Barneveld to back-to-back state tournament appearances. The Division II UW-Parkside signee averaged 20.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals per contest for the 22-8 Golden Eagles. Durst led Barneveld to a state runner-up finish last season.
Zdroik led Pacelli to its first WIAA state championship in team history. She tallied 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 5.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the 25-4 Cardinals.
Three others earned first-team honors for a second time:
Kylie Butler of
Argyle/Pecatonica,
Jordyn Jaglinskii of
Assumption, and
Brooke Wellnitz of Argyle/Pecatonica.
Butler helped lead Argyle/Pecatonica to a sectional semifinal and a 22-5 record. The UW-Milwaukee signee averaged 20 points, 4.3 assists and 3.5 steals per contest. Butler joined the 2,000-point club in January.
Jaglinksi led Assumption to an 18-9 record. The Division II Augustana signee averaged 17 points, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game for the Royals. Jaglinksi helped lead Assumption to the Division 5 state championship last season.
Wellnitz helped lead Argyle/Pecatonica to a 22-5 record and a sectional semifinal appearance. She tallied 18.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
Tia Dernbach led
Almond-Bancroft to a sectional semifinal and a 22-5 overall record. She totaled 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 2.8 assists per game for the Eagles. Dernbach was an honorable mention pick last year.
Elly Gardner helped lead
Columbus Catholic to a 19-8 record. The freshman tallied 20.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.9 steals per game for the Dons.
Avery Glenz led
Eleva-Strum to a state runner-up finish, the program's first state tournament hardware. She averaged 17.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.1 steals per contest for the 30-1 Cardinals. Glenz earned honorable mention recognition last season,
Emma Sampson led
Fall River to a state tournament appearance. The Division II McKendree signee averaged 16.9 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals, 3.3 assists and 1.6 blocks per game for the 17-12 Pirates.
Ella Van Order helped Pacelli to its first WIAA state title in team history. She tallied 16.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest for the 25-4 Cardinals.
Samantha Veldkamp led
Sheboygan Christian to a 16-11 record. She averaged 19.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, 2.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Veldkamp was an honorable mention pick as a freshman.
