2015-16 Ohio Preseason Girls Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard
1. Lakota West (West Chester)Head coach: Andy Fishman
2014-15 record: 29-3
The defending state champions lost player of the year Lauren Canatelli but they do return
Nia Staples and
Abby Prohaska. The Firebirds have averaged nearly 24 wins a year for the past three years, but Canatelli played a big role, so others will need to step up.

2014-15 record: 21-4
Valencia Myers and
Dee Bekelja lead a young team that could easily go farther than its Division II semifinal loss to Notre Dame Academy last year. Solon's returning strength could play pretty well in a year when graduation hit a lot of top Ohio teams hard.

2014-15 record: 18-8
There's never any question about the talent for Rogers, but the Rams seem to have a knack for struggling in big moments. With plenty of size and lots of experience, this might be the year Rogers breaks through.

2014-15 record: 19-6
Almost all of the firepower is back for Mason, and in a year when graduation has hit a lot of teams hard, that could be enough of an advantage to allow the Comets to shine. Senior
Lauren Van Kluenen is the player to watch.

2014-15 record: 35-0
Archbishop Alter won the Division II championship last year, becoming the first Ohio girls team to win 30 games along the way. But four seniors graduated, three of whom are playing in college (two in volleyball), so there will be holes to fill.
