Neshaminy (Langhorne, Pa.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 3 in Pennsylvania, but was stunned by
St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.), 37-21. St. Joseph's Prep was ranked at No. 4 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Pennsylvania coming into the week.
After taking the lead on an
Olamide Zaccheaus touchdown run in the first quarter, the Hawks led 19-14 at the half.
St. Joseph's Prep expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. SJP scored once in the quarter on a defensive touchdown.
St. Joseph's Prep's most effective player was
Chris Martin. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
The Redskins came in giving up 10.1 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Neshaminy defeated North Penn 42-7 last week.
