St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) captured the lead on a passing touchdown with 1:00 to go in the fourth quarter to upset
Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) 24-17 on Saturday.
After trailing 10-0 at the half, the Knights went ahead on a passing touchdown with 11:00 left in the third.
By the end of the third, St. John Bosco found itself trailing by 7 points as Notre Dame captured the lead thanks to three scores in the quarter. ND scored on a field goal, a passing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.
SJB came into the game allowing 15.1 points per game. The Sherman Oaks school's 17 points were well below its season average of 35.0 per game.
The loss comes after Notre Dame defeated Oaks Christian 28-27 last week.
