
Torrey Pines has rebounded nicely after a loss to Marymount, beating two opponents last week to retain its No. 3 ranking.

With a pair of dual match victories last week, Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.) ran its 2012 record to 25-0 and remained atop the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
The wins improved coach Tanya Jarvis' four-year head coaching record to 126-21 as BMHS enters district play this week.
No. 2 Papillion La-Vista South (Papillion, Neb.) begins its conference tournament this week and the Titans open play against three teams with a combined record of 26-60.
Since losing to Marymount (Los Angeles) in the semifinals of the California Challenge, No. 3 Torrey Pines (San Diego) has not lost a game.
Entering its state tournament, No. 4 Assumption (Louisville, Ky.) has reeled off 11 in a row since last losing Sept. 26. In the process, the Rockets have defeated teams (from four different states) that have a combined won-loss record 230-66.
Meanwhile No. 5 Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) and Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.) did not lose a game during the week. Lafayette, 32-0, has won all 64 games it has played this season.
With the top 22 teams all winning, there was only one change in this week's Top 25 as Clarkston (Mich.) moved into the No. 24 spot. The Wolves have won 17 in a row, including the gold at the Beast of the East Invitational (Oct. 12-13).

Champions of 4A District 7, the Hornets have outscored their 2012 opponents 65-8 in games.

(2) Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.), 31-1The Titans beat Nebraska's second-best team, Marian (Omaha), 3-1 (25-23, 25-13, 21-25, 25-19) to conclude their regular season at 31-1 and enter their run for a third-straight state title with a 16-match winning streak. The Titans compete in their conference tournament this week, then host Districts.
3. (3) Torrey Pines (San Diego), 16-2Since losing to Marymount (Los Angeles) in the semi-finals of its own tournament, Torrey Pines blanked Westview (San Diego) (17-8) and Poway (18-9). Before the Falcons visit Rancho Bernardo (San Diego) on Wednesday, they play winless Mt. Carmel (San Diego).
4. (4) Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), 37-2The Rockets, who have lost only to No. 2 Torrey Pines, walked through District 7 play, sweeping three teams to win the title. The Rockets, who enter the state volleyball tournament as the top seed, have won 11 straight matches. Henderson County (34-5) is Assumption's first state tournament foe on Friday.
5. (5) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 24-0Mitty won the Stockton Classic by blanking four foes, 2-0. The No. 5 Mitty squad also shut out 23-7 Valley Christian (San Jose) and beat St. Francis (Mountain View), 3-1. ABM hosts 22-5 Sacred Heart (San Francisco) on Wednesday.
6. (6) Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.), 32-0After blanking Lindbergh (St. Louis) earlier in the week, the Lancers raced through the Quincy Notre Dame Tournament with five-straight wins.

Melanie Crow were named to the all-tournament team. Campbell was MVP. In games this season, the Lancers are 64-0.
7. (7) Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati), 24-0 In improving to 24-0, MND blanked both Hughes Center (25-5, 25-10, 25-11)
and Glen Este (25-14, 25-11, 25-17) to win the Sectional title. Up next is the District finals against Kettering (Fairmont) on Saturday.

8. (8) Doherty (Colorado Springs, Colo.), 18-0Last week, the Spartans beat Fountain-Fort Carson (Fountain) and Liberty (Colorado Springs) and have won 49 of 52 games this season. The Spartans play a pair of 14-3 teams this week: Pine Creek (Colorado Springs) on Wednesday and Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs) on Friday.
9. (9) Carmel (Ind.), 34-1The Greyhounds open 4A State Tournament play on Tuesday against 16-8 Harrison (West Lafayette) having not lost since Sept. 27. Since that 3-2 loss, they have recorded 3-0 wins over all 13 opponents. For the season, Carmel has won 96 of 99 games.
10. (10) Barnstable (Hyannis, Mass.), 12-0 With three dual victories, the Red Raiders ran their win streak to 35 and visit 12-3 Westborough Monday and take on once-beaten Newton North (Newtonville) on Wednesday.
11. (11) Lakeville North (Minn.), 26-1Lakeville North is 26-1 after beating Eagan (17-3). The Panthers only loss this season is by forfeit.
12. (12) Punahou (Honolulu), 11-1The Blue and Gold beat 17-9 'Iolani (Honolulu) last week and open State Tournament play Oct. 31 against McKinley (Honolulu). In its dozen dual match victories, Punahou has won 29 of 33 games.
13. (13) Carroll (Southlake, Texas), 41-3 The Dragons have 27 straight since losing earlier this season. Their most recent wins were over Keller and Northwest (Justin).
14. (14) Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.), 36-3Horizon ran its win streak to a dozen with wins over 4-21 North Canyon and 15-10 Pinnacle. The same two Phoenix-area teams are on this week's schedule. Horizon outscored North Canyon and Pinnacle 150-69.
15. (15) Reagan (San Antonio), 39-2The Rattlers ran their win streak to 25 with wins over San Antonio foes Johnson and Churchill. The Rattlers visit Roosevelt Tuesday where a win will ensure an unbeaten 5A Region IV District championship.
16. (16) Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.), 23-3The Sea Hawks defeated Palos Verdes to run their win streak to 18. They last lost Sept. 15 (2-0) to No. 3 Torrey Pines.

17. (17) Coppell (Texas), 39-3The Cowgirls are 39-3 after defeating Marcus (Flower Mound) and Ryan (Denton). They host Lewisville on Tuesday.
18. (18) Quincy (Ill.), 34-1The Blue Devils defeated rival Notre Dame, Moline and United (East Moline) to increase their win streak to 14 last week. The wins enabled Quincy to win the Western Big 6 title with a 10-0 record. Districts begin this week.
19. (19) New Trier (Winnetka, Ill.), 27-0The Trevians ran their win streak to 27 with a pair of wins.
20. (20) Marymount (Los Angeles), 17-4 Beat Immaculate Heart (Los Angeles) and Marlborough (Los Angeles) to run their win streak to 10. Last loss was to No. 16 Redondo Union (Redondo Beach) on Oct. 1.
21. (21) Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.), 30-2Since back-to-back losses three weeks ago, Benet has won 19 straight matches.
22. (22) Leesville Road (Raleigh, N.C.) 23-0The Pride had a good week, sweeping the Cap 8 Finals, then defeating Cary, 3-0, in the first round of 4A State Playoffs. The Pride has won 69 of 72 games this season.
23. (25) St. Francis (Sacramento, Calif.), 28-2The Troubadours beat Ponderosa (Shingle Springs) and Folsom last week and host Sheldon (Sacramento) on Wednesday.
24. (NR) Clarkston (Mich.), 18-1After sweeping through the Beast of the East Tournament (which included a 2-0 win over 45-match winner Midland), the Wolves ran their win streak to 17 with wins over Lake Orion (36-11) and Adams.
25. (24) New Braunfels (Texas), 40-3In losing to Smithson Valley (31-9), the Unicorns had their win streak end at a dozen. Their other losses this season have come against No. 15 Reagan (San Antonio). Judson, 27-10, visits New Braunfels on Tuesday.
