Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding
performers in high school basketball. The tradition continued to close
out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state.
Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in
addition to local and state accolades.
Brody Bumila of
Bishop Feehan (Attleboro) is the 2025-26 MaxPreps Massachusetts High School Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-9 senior center led the Shamrocks to a 19-7 record and the state championship.
For the season, Bumila averaged 30.6 points and 15.2 rebounds per game while shooting 69.4 percent from the field.

A 1,000-point career scorer, Bumila is a Texas baseball commit that is expected to be selected in the 2026 MLB Draft.
