CBS Sports Network will broadcast three adidas grassroots basketball championship games this summer, including the adidas Nations finale in early August.
"We're excited to partner with CBS Sports Network and bring adidas' elite high school basketball events to millions of viewers across the country on television and online," adidas vice president of Global Basketball Lawrence Norman said. "Our programs feature the game’s next superstars and we’re thrilled to showcase this high-level of basketball to viewers all across America."
The telecasts begin July 10 in Indianapolis, Ind., where CBS Sports Network will air the championship game of the adidas Invitational. The second-year event is expected to showcase over 300 teams. McDonald's All-Americans
Chane Behanan (Louisville),
LeBryan Nash (Oklahoma State),
Marshall Plumlee (Duke) and
Cody Zeller (Indiana) were among the participants last summer.
Now in its eighth year, the adidas Super 64 welcomes over elite 500 boys and girls teams to Las Vegas. Derrick Favors (Utah Jazz), James Harden (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Darren Collison (Indiana Pacers) are among past participants. The championship game will be televised by CBS Sports Network July 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
adidas Nations is the culmination of the brand's summer-long grassroots initiatives and features top under-18 talent from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America, in addition to the United States. The championship and third-place games will air Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. ET. CBS Sports Network will also broadcast a special adidas Nations highlight show Aug. 7 at noon.
