The 4-star running back takes over the game in Comets' victory.James Cook is having a pretty good week.
The 4-star running back from No. 19
Central (Miami) committed to Georgia on Thursday. The very next day, James Cook, the defensive back, almost single-handedly carried the Rockets to a 26-13 victory Friday over Carol City.
Cook, the younger brother of Minnesota Viking Dalvin Cook, had three fourth-quarter interceptions — two he took to the house — and scored the go-ahead touchdown on a wildcat run late in the fourth quarter.
With the Rockets trailing 13-7 with just over 8 minutes left in the game, Cook took the pick-6 95 yards to knot the score at 13.
On the next Carol City possession, Cook again was there for the interception. Four plays later, he waltzed into the end zone from 21 yards out after taking the wildcat snap.
He sealed the game on the Chiefs' next drive with his third takeaway and his second pick-6.
The future Bulldog is pegged as the No. 35 overall prospect in the Class of 2018 by
247Sports and No. 3 running back.
