The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has released finalists for the annual Ms. Basketball award, which will be presented to the state's best senior at the WIAA state tournament.
WBCA Ms. Basketball finalists
Giselle Janowski, 5-9, Pewaukee University of Wisconsin averages 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per contest for the Pirates (22-4), No. 3 in the final MaxPreps/WBCA Division 1 coaches poll. Janowski tallied 14 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block in Pewaukee's 84-45 victory over Germantown in a Division 1 regional final.
Ady Ketterhagen, 5-10, Oostburg The UW-Green Bay signee tallies 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.2 assists per game for the undefeated Flying Dutchmen (26-0), ranked No. 1 in the Division 3 coaches poll. After rolling past North Fond du Lac 71-25 in a Division 3 regional final, Oostburg has won its last 32 games, the second-longest streak in the state.
Natalie Kussow, 6-0, Arrowhead The University of Minnesota signee is averaging 26.4 points per game (among the state leaders) along with 7.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.0 steals per game for the Warhawks (24-2), No. 2 in the final Division 1 coaches poll. The Warhawks defeated Oconomowoc 88-62 in a Division 1 regional final.
Mikaia Litza, 5-8, Wauwatosa East DePaul University signee tallies 18.1 points, 6.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for the undefeated Red Raiders (26-0), ranked No. 1 in the Division 1 MaxPreps/WBCA Coaches Poll. Tosa East is riding a 38-game winning streak, the longest in the state. The Red Raiders cruised to an 84-40 win over Badger in a Division 1 regional final.
Adaline Sheplee, 6-3, Rice Lake University of Wisconsin signee is averaging 28.3 points per game (among the state leaders) along with 9.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.7 steals per contest for the Warriors, 23-3 overall and ranked No. 2 in the Division 2 coaches poll. Adaline finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, four steals, three assists, and a block in a 72-57 win over Medford in a Division 2 regional final.
