The Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas won the last time they faced the University Trailblazers, and things went their way on Friday too. Indianapolis Metropolitan came out on top against University by a score of 57-49.
Indianapolis Metropolitan can attribute much of their success to RJ Smith, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Landon Petty was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
University lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Montgomery Holland, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Holland also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Gray, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for University, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Park Tudor at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. University and Faith Christian will face off at 3:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Faith Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.2 points per game.
