Video: Top 10 Games of the Week
(23) Central (Miami) vs. Armwood (Seffner, Fla.)
Saturday, 1 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: The Florida 6A championship is a battle between Miami Central and Armwood for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
No. 23 Miami Central (11-2) won two of the three prior meetings, and the 2011 Armwood victory was changed to a double forfeit because both teams used ineligible players during the season. A win Saturday would allow the Rockets to tie a state record with their fourth consecutive championship.
Not counting forfeits, this is the fifth time in the last six years Armwood (14-0) has at least 14 wins. The Hawks lead the state of Florida with 66 victories since 2011.
Names to watch: A key to Miami Central's latest playoff run has been the performance of freshman running back
James Cook. The brother of Florida State standout Dalvin Cook has run for over 500 yards with five touchdowns this season.
Armwood's offensive spark plug is junior quarterback
Darrian McNeal. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound dual-threat quarterback has 1,626 passing yards and 1,160 yards on the ground with 35 total touchdowns.
