Video: No. 1 St. John Bosco vs. No. 2 Corona CentennialA total of 11 teams have qualified for the California championship football regionals, as five sections crowned champions over the weekend.
The Sac-Joaquin Section held four championship games with Sierra (Manteca) winning in Division 4, Sonora winning in Division 5, Bradshaw Christian (Sacramento) winning Division 6 and Stone Ridge Christian (Merced) winning Division 7.
In the Northern Section, Pleasant Valley (Chico) captured the Division 2 championship while Sutter won Division 3, East Nicolaus (Nicolaus) won Division 4 and Fall River (McArthur) won Division 5.
McClymonds (Oakland) won the Oakland Section while Mission (San Francisco) won the San Francisco Section. Coronado won the San Diego Division 6 championship, which was the only San Diego section championship game contested last week.
Only two new teams joined the matchups this week. Besides Sutter, Oak Grove (San Jose) moved into the matchups for the first time after defeating Valley Christian (San Jose) in the Central Coast Section Open Division 2 playoffs.
Following are the unofficial regional matchups for the 13 CIF Football Championship Games. Teams are listed by their section enrollment division along with their record and their rating based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. MaxPreps does not move teams around in order to avoid first-round matchups between teams from the same section.

Key: NCS = North Coast Section, NS = Northern Section, SJS = Sac-Joaquin Section, LAS = Los Angeles City Section, CS = Central Section, CCS = Central Coast Section, SDS = San Diego Section, OS = Oakland Section, SF = San Francisco Section, SS = Southern Section.
Notes: Teams in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I-VI are selected based on the Divisional and League alignment.
For the Central Coast Section team rankings, teams in the Central Coast Section A Leagues are divided by MaxPreps into three equal groups for the three Open Division section championship games. This is not necessarily how the CCS will select teams for their Open Division playoff format. The runner-up teams are considered to be the No. 2 ranked team in each Open Division group.
The top eight ranked teams in the San Diego Section are considered for the Open Division and the No. 9 ranked team is considered the top team in Division I for the purposes of these rankings.
