Coran Taylor led the winners by throwing for 261 yards, running for 122 and producing six total touchdowns. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound senior committed to the University of Illinois in April after tallying over 3,000 yards and 39 touchdowns as a junior.
Peoria (3-2) is now averaging 69.8 points per game and allowing 56.4.
Under head coach Tim Thornton, the Lions rode a high-octane offense to the Class 5A state title a year ago, averaging 57.5 points per game with stunning totals of 96 and 79 along the way.
