Video: Top 10 wildest plays from October
Check out a handful of plays that you likely have never seen done before.Who's got the ultimate bragging rights when it comes to sending players to the NFL from the high school ranks in Connecticut?
To
find out, MaxPreps and Lateral Sports teamed up and found the alma
mater of every player on an NFL roster as of opening day (we included
suspended and injured reserve players). Then we broke it all down by
state and came up with the table below.
You will find that Bloomfield lays claim the most NFL players and that two other schools have multiple alums in the league. Seventeen players hail from the Constitution State.
Want some more fun facts? How about these:
- There is a pipeline down to Washington, D.C., evidently. Three of the 17 players were on the Redskins' opening day roster.
- Only three of the 17 are playing for teams west of the Mississippi River. In fact, a large majority are in the northeast.
- Silas Redd (Redskins RB) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (Seahawks LB) were both senior captains on the 2009 King Low team that went 8-1.
- Julian Stanford (Jets LB) and Marcus Cooper (Cardinals DB) were teammates on the 2006 and 2007 Bloomfield High teams. The '06 team went 10-2.
- Windsor High has two alums in the league, and they're both defensive ends.
