For the second week in a row, there is a new No. 1 in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings as Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) takes the reins from Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.). The Georgia power is off to a strong start with a pair of out-of-state wins, including No. 15 Webb (Knoxville, Tenn.) in its second outing o the season.

Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) is the biggest riser in the rankings this week, climbing from No. 18 to No. 2 after beating a pair of MaxPreps Top 25 opponents over the weekend.

In the headlining game of the weekend, Bishop McNamara erased a 19-point, second-half deficit to emerge with a five-point win over then-No. 1 Sierra Canyon. The Mustangs were sparked by a personal 10-0 fourth-quarter run from Indiana signee Prince-Alexander Moody.

Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.) is new to the rankings this week, ascending all the way to No. 13 following a victory over IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). The Knights replace St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), who fell out of the rankings following an in-state loss to Riviera Prep (Miami) 71-69.

1. Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.)

Knocked off Coronado (Henderson, Nev.) 73-59 over the weekend behind a balanced effort that saw four-star junior Kevin Savage tally 17 points and six assists while top 30 Connecticut signee Colben Landrew added 16 points.

2. Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.)

Record: 3-0 | Last week: 18

Picked up a pair of victories over nationally-ranked opponents from the Golden State, knocking off No. 19 Santa Margarita 71-67 before taking down previous No. 1 Sierra Canyon 57-52.

3. Petersburg (Va.)

Record: 1-0 | Last week: 3

Top 30 Oklahoma signee Latrell Allmond tallied a team-high 21 points to lead the Crimson Wave to a 67-52 season-opening win over Shining Stars Sports Academy (Petersburg, Va.).

4. Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.)

Record: 3-0 | Last week: 4

A brutal stretch is ahead for the Panthers as they face Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.) on Thursday, Prolific Prep (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) on Saturday and Archbishop Spalding (Severn, Md.) on Sunday before a trip to the City of Palms Classic.

5. Columbus (Miami, Fla.)

Record: 6-1 | Last week: 5

Notched lopsided wins over Divine Savior Academy (Doral, Fla.) 72-57 and Palmetto (Miami, Fla.) 93-68. The Explorers have the week off before taking on Principia (St. Louis, Mo.) in the opening round of the City of Palms Classic.

6. Rainier Beach (Seattle, Wash.)

Record: 1-0 | Last week: 6

Opened the season with an 81-60 win against Renton led by 31 points, eight rebounds and six steals from top-ranked senior Tyran Stokes. Freshman J.J. Crawford also chipped in 15 points in his debut.

7. St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)

Record: 5-0 | Last week: 7

Secured three blowout wins over in-state opponents since our previous rankings release. Top 10 senior Christian Collins has been dominant, averaging 28.3 points, 12.5 assists and 3.8 assists per game.

8. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.)

Record: 5-1 | Last week: 1

The previously top-ranked Trailblazers suffered their first setback of the season, falling to No. 2 Bishop McNamara 57-52 in a game they led by 19 points in the third period. Top 25 North Carolina pledge Maximo Adams led all scorers with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds in the loss.

9. Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

Record: 6-0 | Last week: 8

Travel to defending Class 4A state champion Stranahan (Fort Lauderdale) on Wednesday before a trip to the City of Palms Classic. The Eagles face No. 18 Owasso in the first round.

10. Millennium (Goodyear, Ariz.)

Record: 7-1 | Last week: 9

Picked up a pair wins over quality California opponents over the weekend, knocking off JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano) 68-58 led by 25 points from four-star sophomore Trey McKinney and Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 62-60 guided by 22 points from four-star Arizona pledge Cameron Holmes.

11. Seven Lakes (Katy, Texas)

Record: 13-0 | Last week: 11

Captured the Spartan bracket championship at the KISD tournament, knocking off Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land) 65-52 in the title game paced by a game-high 35 points from three-star UTSA commit Nasir Price.

12. Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.)

Record: 7-1 | Last week: 12

Four-star Texas signee Joe Sterling continued an impressive start to his senior campaign, pumping in a game-high 36 points while knocking down seven 3-pointers in a 78-61 triumph over Francis Parker (San Diego, Calif.).

13. Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.)

Boosted its resume in a major way over the weekend with a 67-65 win against IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) sparked by a game-winning 3-pointer from junior Tristan Franklin as time expired.

14. Bartlett (Tenn.)

Record: 6-0 | Last week: 14

Snagged a pair of out-of-state victories last week, blowing past North Little Rock (Ark.) 77-46 and Leadership Prep Academy (Texas) 80-68.

15. Webb (Knoxville, Tenn.)

Record: 7-1 | Last week: 13

Blew past Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, Tenn.) 97-72 before slipping past Leadership Prep Academy (Texas) 83-75 in an overtime thriller.

16. The Villages Charter (The Villages, Fla.)

Record: 5-1 | Last week: 15

Pulled out back-to-back one-possession wins over the weekend, escaping with a 54-53 win over Victory Christian Academy (Lakeland) before clipping Fleming Island (Orange Park) 58-56 anchored by 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots from four-star LSU commit Herly Brutus.

17. Wayzata (Plymouth, Minn.)

Record: 2-0 | Last week: 16

Began the year with an 81-69 win over Prior Lake paced by a game-high 27 points from three-star Minnesota commit Nolen Anderson before shellacking Washburn (Minneapolis) behind 18 points from four-star Iowa State signee Christian Wiggins.

18. Owasso (Okla.)

Record: 2-0 | Last week: 17

Picked up one of the most lopsided wins of the young season last week, blasting Ponca City 82-6 in a game that saw the Rams hold their opponent scoreless for the entire first quarter.

19. Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.)

Record: 9-1 | Last week: 23

Split a pair of games against nationally-ranked WCAC opponents over the weekend, falling to No. 2 Bishop McNamara 71-67 before responding with a 71-54 victory against No. 23 DeMatha led by 32 points from three-star Washington State pledge Brayden Kyman.

20. Wisconsin Lutheran (Milwaukee, Wis.)

Record: 2-0 | Last week: 19

Left no doubt in a 91-34 blowout of Waukesha North (Waukesha) led by 28 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals from three-star Northern Iowa signee Zavier Zens.

21. Fishers (Ind.)

Record: 4-0 | Last week: 25

Won a pair of games over state title contenders in Class 4A, knocking off Noblesville 56-40 led by 20 points from four-star junior Jason Gardner Jr. and Mt. Vernon (Fortville) 57-48 powered by another 20 from Gardner. Junior guard Cooper Zachary also broke the school's career record for 3-pointers with 132.

22. Timpview (Provo, Utah)

Record: 5-0 | Last week: 20

Notched a pair of lopsided wins last week, blowing by Foothill (Henderson, Nev.) and Skyridge (Lehi) behind top 100 BYU commit Dean Rueckert.

23. Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.)

Record: 1-0 | Last week: 21

Opened the season with an 81-49 win over Two Rivers (Mendota Heights) behind 20 points from St. Thomas commit JoJo Mitchell and 19 points and 11 rebounds from Nebraska pledge Ty Schlagel.

24. DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.)

Record: 2-1 | Last week: 22

Although they suffered a 71-54 loss to No. 19 Santa Margarita, the Stags led the majority of the first three quarters before allowing a 33-14 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters. A head-to-head victory over No. 24 Our Lady of Mount Carmel keeps DeMatha in the national rankings.

25. Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, Md.)

Record: 8-1 | Last week: 24

Took home three conference wins by double-digits, including knocking off Pallotti (Laurel) 63-49 last night behind 16 points from Tristen Wilson.
