After 10 weeks on the road our regular season schedule is finally complete and now playoffs begin. The last game was an incredible battle. Despite the lopsided score, the game was very tight until late in the fourth quarter. As Chris explained is his journal, Bergen had a great opportunity to upset the #1 Ironmen of Don Bosco, but came up just short. Despite being out gunned in most measurable areas, size, speed, and raw talent, Bergen's tuff play kept them in this one. However, the Bosco offense got churning in the second half and their D held strong, taking an interception 70 yards for a TD to put the game away for good.
Aside from all the on field action, Chris and I were able to hang out for a while with the players from both teams. Despite the heated rivalry, the players have a great perspective about the game, understood what an honor it is to be playing football, and were some funny guys on top of it. I guess you could say I liked these guys from Jersey and I wish them all the best.
As for Chris and I, we headed up to Boston for the weekend to check out the city. Tonight we watched the Pats-Colts game from the #1 Sports Bar in America, according to Sports Illustrated. Now picture us in this sports bar full of Patriot fans cheering on their team. Then imagine Peyton Manning completing a huge pass and Chris screaming "Ya baby!" as loud as he could as a hush falls over the entire crowd, and then everyone giving us a Clint Eastwood style stare down (as Chris remembers where we are). It was awkward for a bit, but made for a good story, and was well worth it. Anyways, tomorrow we will officially tell you which game we will be watching this week and until then stay in touch with us on the road tour.
