Four-star rising senior
Jordan Adams of
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) announced Monday he will attend UCLA, broadcasting the decision live via CourtCred.com.
Adams, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound wing, is the No. 81 overall prospect in MaxPreps.com's 2012 Top 100. He picked the Bruins over Alabama, Georgia, Memphis and Miami.
As a junior for the nationally-ranked Warriors, Adams shot nearly 90 percent from the free throw line and grabbed a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game.
Before heading to Oak Hill Academy, the future Bruin posted 18.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for a 29-3
Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, Ga.) team that reached the Class AAAA semifinals in 2009-10.
Adams plays club basketball with the Atlanta Celtics, the AAU home of NBA stars like Derrick Favors, Dwight Howard and Josh Smith. He's been busy on the camp circuit in recent weeks with appearances at the Pangos All-American Camp in California and the NBPA Camp in Virginia.
UCLA hired Atlanta Celtics CEO and coach Korey McCray earlier this month, a move that Adams indicated would not dictate his decision.
