The 2021 New Mexico high school football season enters the final stage.
Teams have persevered through a rugged regular season not to mention
COVID-19 and all its protocols to advance to the state's ultimate
tournament.
After holding no state championships in 2020, Cleveland (Rio Rancho) opened the 2021 fall season as the No. 1 team in the
MaxPreps Top 25 state preseason rankings. The Storm won the Class 6A
state championship in 2019, went undefeated (4-0) in the spring and are the top 6A seed in 2021.
