Today, Sunday, has truly been a day of rest for my partner and I. This week has been insanely busy and we were overdue to have a relaxed day after yesterday's madness. I still can't believe we were able to see both semifinal games and get a good look into next week's matchup. From what we saw yesterday, it looks like Wheaton-Warrenville South had better bring their A-game to the state championship because Mt. Carmel can straight get after it in all facets of the game. I'd have to give Mt. Carmel the edge going into the game, but it's a state championship, and one big play can change everything.
We are currently held over in Chicago today as we wait for some last repairs on the RV to be completed tomorrow. There was some excitement however. Up until today, I believed our RV was exactly 11 feet tall. As we slowly approached a bridge with 11'10" clearance, my trusted right hand man Chris, felt he should get out just to make sure we were OK. In the end, he saved us from another debacle, but I bet some of you would like to hear how we ripped our roof off for your entertainment. I know how you all think. With only a few more weeks to go there is a good chance we are going to get this ride back to California in one piece, knock on wood.
Today we said our goodbyes to our good buddies Steve and another legend of a man who goes by "House". Steve is a Maxpreps man, was a huge help yesterday, and was a blast to hang with, though he needs a hair cut and some Madden help. Maybe next time my friend!
