Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding
performers in high school basketball. The tradition continues to close
out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state.
Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in
addition to local and state accolades.
Zavier Zens of
Wisconsin Lutheran (Milwaukee) is the 2025-26 MaxPreps Wisconsin High School Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-7 senior wing led the Vikings to a 30-0 record and their third consecutive state championship.
For the season, Zens averaged 23.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest while shooting 61.8 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from 3-point range and 74.3 percent from the free throw line.
