Daejon Davis of
Lakeside (Seattle) became Washington's latest big win on the recruiting trail Tuesday.
Davis, a 6-foot-4 guard trending into Top 50 status in the Class of 2017, announced his decision via Twitter.
As a sophomore, Davis averaged nearly 20 points per game to help Lakeside go 23-8 and take fourth place in the Class 3A state tournament.
California, Gonzaga and Washington State were also in pursuit.
After missing the NCAA Tournament for the fourth season in a row in 2014-15, Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar looked to be on thin ice. But the 14th-year head coach responded by landing a Top 10 recruiting class last spring and then securing a trio of high-profile commitments — including Davis — this month.
