Harcrow struck out 15 of the 21 batters she faced while tossing a perfect game in a 5-0 victory over Choctaw County on Friday to lead all players in the South Region. She needed 93 pitches to complete the pitching feat in her season debut in the circle for the Trojans.
Meanwhile, sophomore Bromell batted .941 over six games for the Eagles to pace South Central nominees. She was perfect at the plate in all but one game, when she was 3-for-4 and walked twice against Ysleta. Bromell had multiple hits in every game she played, save for the first against El Dorado, when she homered in her lone at-bat. For the week, she totaled seven runs, two doubles, a homer, seven RBI, three walks and no strikeouts.
In the West, Pitsenberger was a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate for the Conquistadores. In two games, she scored five runs and drove in eight, and had a double, two triples, a homer and walked twice without striking out. Pitsenberger slugged a gaudy 2.400 and compiled a 1.000 on-base percentage.
