Hall’s game against Bristol Central took place on a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon. To start the game Hall won the toss and decided to kick. After both teams had a few unsuccessful drives, Hall was able to score. With 8:09 left in the first quarter Jacob Raissaro made a nine yard run which was set up by big completions to McGolrick and Cleaver.
Midway though the second quarter Hall forced and recovered a fumble on their own 28 yard line after two receptions by Brendan McGoldrick. Hall had the ball on the 9 yard line where Ian Joneses took it in for the score, putting Hall up 14-0.
Nearing the end of the half Hall had another defensive stand and was able to get the ball on Bristol’s 36 yard line. From there Hall put three plays together; the last one putting Brendan McGoldrick in the end zone on an 18 yard reception making the score 21-0, Hall, with 2:41 left in the half.
Hall was determined to get one more score in before the end of the half so after another defensive stop by Hall, this time including sacks from Jeremy Price, Kevin Farah and Peter Dehotaug, Hall got the ball and managed to get it to their own eight yard line. Mike Steinberg kicked it through for 3 points putting Hall ahead 24-0 as the final seconds ticked off the clock ending the first half.
Hall received to start the second half but didn’t score until their second drive on a 38 yard touchdown pass to Joey Mascolo. There lead was now 31-0. After a Bristol Central fumble, Hall recovered and on their first play took it 14 yard for the score with 5:13 left in the 4th quarter for the final score of the game. The final score was 38-0.
The biggest reason for Hall’s monster win was their shut out defense. Hall had 5 sacks on the game, a pair of which came from Jeremy Price. Hall’s offense also came alive with big plays rushing from Jacob Rasario and receiving for Justin Clever. All in all it was a needed big win for Hall.
