Booker has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the West Texas Comanches at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Booker didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Stratford, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. The victory was just what Booker needed coming off of a 67-44 loss in their prior game.
Booker's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hagen Chisum, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, and Xavier Aguilera, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Aguilera scored 15 or more points.
In what's become a running theme this season, West Texas gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over Sunray. The victory was nothing new for West Texas as they're now sitting on six straight.
Booker's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for West Texas, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Booker skirted past West Texas 42-40 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Does Booker have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Texas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
