Elder (Cincinnati) pulled off the upset of the week and entered this week's MaxPreps midwest region football computer rankings.
Elder knocked off No. 2 St. Edward (Lakewood) 15-9 to enter the rankings at No. 19. St. Edward dropped to No. 4 with the loss.
Colerain stayed at No. 1 with a 38-7 win over Princeton while Wayne (Huber Heights) was idle and moved up to No. 2.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The Midwest region includes teams from Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska and North and South Dakota.
