The final week of the regular season provides a pair of games matching undefeated MaxPreps Texas Top 25 teams.
In the Houston area, No. 3 Manvel (9-0) will face No. 7 Pearland (9-0) Friday at The Rig in Pearland. Both teams are already qualified for the playoffs, but the winner will earn the title of District 22-6A champion.
Manvel has outscored opponents 427-67. Pearland has been almost as dominant with a 388-69 edge in points.
Manvel stunned Pearland 42-7 in last year's Week 9 meeting, but Pearland bounced back to make it to the Class 5A Division I state championship game.
Manvel went on for a solid playoff run of its own in the Class 5A Division II bracket before being overwhelmed by Katy in the Region III title game.
In 2012 Manvel, in its first season in top classification, went to The Rig and dealt Pearland a 42-28 defeat.
Another showdown looms Thursday between a pair of San Antonio powerhouses. Brandeis (9-0) will host Brennan (9-0) at Farris Stadium.
No. 10 Brennan, in its first year in the top classification, will be trying to stretch its regular-season winning streak to 30 against No. 15 Brandeis. To the winner goes the District 27-6A title.
Another intriguing showdown will be Saturday in District 19-6A matching 8-1 clubs Katy and Cinco Ranch (Katy) at Rhodes Stadium. Both teams are 6-0 in district play. Katy is No. 6 in the Texas Top 25.

1. Allen 9-0 (1 last week)Texas A&M pledge
Kyler Murray accounted for seven touchdowns in a 70-41 throttling of 7-2 Plano West (Plano). Murray threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 89 yards and two scores.
Jalen Guyton led receivers with seven catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.
Sione Tupou returned an interception for a score. The Eagles, champion of District 6-6A, will go for consecutive win No. 37 against 0-9 Plano East (Plano) on Friday.
2. Skyline (Dallas) 9-0 (2)

Da'leon Ward rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-21 thumping of 4-5 R.L. Turner (Carrollton).
Kylan Johnson threw three touchdown passes and ran for another. The Raiders, champion of Disrict 9-6A conclude the regular season on Thursday against 1-8 Sunset (Dallas).
3. Manvel 9-0 (4)D'Eriq King threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two in a 70-0 rout of 1-8 Memorial (Pasadena).
Qyalan Clay also ran for a pair of touchdowns and
Collin Scott returned an interception 28 yards for a score. On Friday, the Mavericks collide with 9-0 Pearland for the District 22-6A title.
4. DeSoto 8-1 (5)Larry Nixon rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-7 victory over 3-6 Midlothian. Sophomore quarterback
Jaylin Nelsonn ran for a touchdown and threw for another.
Matthew Siggers returned a fumble 35 yards for a score. On Thursday the Eagles conclude the regular season by hosting 3-6 Duncanville.
5. Carroll (Southlake) 9-0 (6)Ryan Agnew threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns in a 62-0 rout of 0-9 Haltom.
Deondre Wiltshire rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
Jake Oldroyd kicked a pair of field goals. The Dragons close the regular season on the road Friday against 1-8 L.D. Bell (Hurst).
6. Katy 8-1 (7)Oklahoma commit
Rodney Anderson rushed for 99 yards and four touchdowns in a 65-0 blanking of 0-9 Tompkins (Katy).
Kyle Porter rushed for 126 yards and three scores.
Ronrico Terrell ran for two touchdowns. The Tigers defense, in ringing up its fourth shutout, limited Tompkins to four first downs and 60 total yards. On Saturday the Tigers will face 8-1 Cinco Ranch (Katy) in a showdown for the District 19-6A title.
7. Pearland 9-0 (8) Coming off an open date, the Oilers host 9-0 Manvel Friday in a showdown for the District 22-6A title.
8. Steele (Cibolo) (8-1) (9)Coming off an open date, the Knights host 3-6 Canyon (New Braunfels) in the regular-season finale on Friday.
9. Trinity (Euless) 9-1 (10)In the Trojans' final game of the regular season,
Ja'Ron Wilson rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-17 victory over Richland. Wilson caught three passes for 68 yards and two more scores from quarterback
Tyler Natee, who finished with 126 passing yards. Coach Steve Lineweaver's team will have an open date before a bi-district playoff game.
10. Brennan (San Antonio) 9-0 (11)

Devontre Warren rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-14 rout of 6-3 Stevens (San Antonio).
Taveon Tollefree rushed for 140 yards and one score.
Marcus Martinez returned a fumble 45 yards for a score. The defense allowed Stevens only six first downs as the Bears won their 29th straight regular season game. Up next is a Thursday showdown against 9-0 Brandeis (San Antonio).
11. The Woodlands 8-1 (12)Patrick Carr rushed for 129 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Highlanders to a 63-14 victory over 3-6 Summer Creek (Houston).
Christopher Stewart and
Brentley Kalata had touchdown catches. Up next is a regular-season finale Saturday against 3-6 Kingwood (Houston).
12. Midway (Waco) 9-0 (13)University of Houston pledge
Ben Hicks threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more in a 49-19 victory over 4-5 Belton.
Devontre Stricklin had eight catches for 141 yards in Midway's final regular season home game. On Thursday Midway, the District 12-6A champion, goes on the road to meet 2-7 Ellison (Killeen).
13. Cedar Hill 7-2 (3)A week after knocking off DeSoto, the Longhorns were stunned by Mansfield, 49-34 despite three touchdown passes from
Justin McMillan to
Damarkus Lodge and 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns from
Aca'cedric Ware. The Longhorn defense allowed 484 yards, 329 coming on the ground. The Longhorns conclude the regular season on the road Friday against 5-4 South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie).
14. Westfield (Houston) 8-1 (14)Latevius Downs rushed for three touchdowns to lead a 52-14 victory over 1-8 Klein Forest (Houston).
Dillon Sterling-Cole threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another.
A.J. Tisdel broke a 96-yard scoring run. On Friday the Mustangs host 2-7 Klein in a regular season finale.
15. Brandeis (San Antonio) 9-0 (15)Jaylon Dukes rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-31 triumph over 4-5 Clark (San Antonio).
Tommy Woods ran for two scores,
Sean Mellish scored on a fumble recovery and
Patricio Botello booted a pair of field goals. The Broncos conclude the regular season Thursday against 9-0 Brennan (San Antonio) in a District 27-6A showdown.
16. Lake Travis (Austin) 8-1 (18)The showdown for the District 14-6A lead became more of a smack down as the Cavaliers rolled 64-7 over 7-2 Bowie (Austin).
Dominic Delira, an Iowa State pledge, threw for 331 yards and four touchdowns, two to
Grant Foster.
Abe Willows rushed for 113 yards and three scores. On Friday the Cavs host 2-7 Akins in the regular-season finale.
17. Langham Creek (Houston) 8-1 (16)Toneil Carter rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-28 triumph over 3-6 Cypress Springs (Cypress).
Paul Wilson threw for one touchdown and rushed for another.
C.J. Williams had a pair of touchdown receptions. On Friday Langham Creek faces 2-7 Cypress Ridge (Houston).
18. Klein Collins (Spring) 8-1 (17)Nate Edmonds' fourth touchdown run of the night, a 5-yarder midway in the fourth quarter, gave the Tigers a 28-21 victory over 6-3 Spring.
Justin Pratt rushed for 184 yards on 28 carries. On Friday the Tigers host 1-8 Klein Forest in a regular season finale.
19. Guyer (Denton) 8-1 (19)Shawn Robinson in the first quarter threw three of his four touchdown passes and ran for another score in a 58-21 thrashing of 3-6 Timber Creek (Keller). Robinson finished with 329 passing yards with 103 going to
David Haynes on four catches.
Anthony Taylor rushed seven times for 126 yards and a score. Up next is 5-4 rival Ryan (Denton) on Friday.
20. Atascocita (Humble) 9-1 (20)Niyl Campbell threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 126 yards and two scores in a 42-20 bashing of 3-6 Conroe.
Deneric Gibson rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Quan Shorts and
Coye Fairman had touchdown catches. With the regular season complete, the Eagles have an open date to heal before starting the playoffs.
21. Aledo 8-1 (22)Luke Bishop threw for three touchdowns and ran for two in a 59-0 rout of 1-8 Granbury.
Ryan Newsome was on the receiving end of 54- and 17-yard touchdown passes and returned a punt 51 yards for another score.
Daniel Kwaw returned a blocked punt 21 yards for another score. Up next is a Friday road trip to 4-5 Cleburne in the final game of the regular season.

Chris Warren rushed for 471 yards and six touchdowns in a 61-54 shootout victory over 4-5 Lee (Tyler).
Xavier Castille caught a touchdown pass from
Will Reed and also threw one. The Yellowjackets host 7-2 Garland in the final game of the regular season on Friday.
23. Horn (Mesquite) 8-1 (23)Chris Robison threw for 280 yards and five touchdowns in a 55-14 pounding of 4-5 Pearce (Richardson).
Jarrison Stewart and
Bryston Cummings each scored a pair of touchdowns.
Khari Dickinson rushed for 94 yards. The Jaguars complete the regular season on the road Friday against 4-5 Lake Highlands (Dallas).
24. Ridge Point (Missouri City) 9-0 (23)Senior
Jesse Crebbe threw three touchdown passes and backup
Troy Alexander had two in a 48-0 blanking of 1-8 Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston).
Connor Talbott had a pair of scoring catches and the defense in its fourth shutout limited Willowridge to two first downs and 20 total yards. Up next is a Thursday regular-season finale at home against 5-4 Texas City.
25. Martin (Arlington) 7-2 (25)Nic Smith rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown in a 40-13 victory over 3-6 Arlington.
Tyler Wilson rushed for 99 yards and two scores,
Noah Marsh threw a scoring pass and
Jared Phipps returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown. The Warriors conclude the regular season on Thursday against 4-5 North Crowley.
