Folsom (Calif.) snapped the 5-game winning streak of
Elk Grove (Calif.), with a 44-18 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Bulldogs led 14-6 at the half.
Folsom expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored two times in the third, including once on a
Jake Browning touchdown pass to
Troy Knox.
With the win the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 14 games. Folsom defeated the Thunder 49-22 last week.
Browning played well for FHS in the victory. The sophomore quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Thundering Herd's
Wadus Parker played well. The junior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 27 touchdowns on the season.
Elk Grove came in surrendering 14.0 points per game this season. EG struggled against the Bulldogs' offense, which entered the game scoring 47.1 points per game.
A 42-28 Folsom victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Elk Grove defeated Del Oro 35-32 last week.
