High school football's leading rusher according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps,
Myles McLaughlin is running into the record books.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound
Knox senior moved into the No. 2 spot on Indiana's career rushing list with 320 yards and five touchdowns against
Tippecanoe Valley (Akron).
According to the MaxPreps National High School Football Record Book, McLaughlin needs 2,498 yards to surpass 2019
New Palestine grad
Charlie Spegal, who accumulated 10,867 rushing yards in his career.
Knox will need to make another deep postseason run to give McLaughlin a shot at the record.
McLaughlin has 1,377 yards and 21 touchdowns over four games. He holds offers from Ball State, Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Purdue and Western Michigan. On Sept. 5 against
Culver Academies (Culver), he piled up 439 yards and nine touchdowns while throwing for a 10th.
