Katy (Texas) became the third nationally-ranked team to reschedule or cancel a game this week when it moved a contest with district rival
Tompkins (Katy) to Nov. 27.
Originally set for Thursday, the Katy-Tompkins clash was pushed to Saturday and then eventually to the back end of the season in November after a COVID-19 case was identified within the Katy program.
The Tigers are 3-0 this season and coming off a 59-3 victory over Seven Lakes (Katy). Katy is among the state's most storied programs with eight state titles – including six in the 2000s – and three national crowns.
