Making the drive down I-5, the MaxPreps Tour of Champions held a team ceremony for Lake Oswego High School in Oregon.
While much of the media gravitated towards All-American Kevin Love this year, MaxPreps and the Army National Guard came to Lake Oswego for a different reason: to tell the MaxPreps community that the Lake Oswego Lakers are one of the top high school basketball teams in America. MaxPreps' Calvin Clements began the ceremony by addressing the team and media, while Major Lance Englett of the Oregon Army National Guard presented Head Coach Mark Shoff with the MaxPreps Tour of Champions National Rankings trophy.
It is no secret that Lake Oswego is an athletic powerhouse around Oregon, we here at MaxPreps hope that we were able to bring the national spotlight to the city if only for a day. Congratulations once again to the Lake Oswego Lakers...ranked number 17 on the MaxPreps National Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
