Like taking time to digest the holiday feast, the high school girls basketball landscape was quiet this past week. All but two teams in the MaxPreps Top 25 were in action, but there were only two meetings of ranked teams.

The Eagles got a pair of wins last week, beating Chino Hills 72-21 and Sage Hill 74-36. Etiwanda battles New Jersey's Morris Catholic on Monday at the St. James MLK Classic.

Zoe Brooks showed out Sunday in a 59-42 win over Gill St. Bernard's, posting 21 points, 16 rebounds, five steals, three assists and a pair of blocks.
Janie Bachmann added 12 in the victory.
