See the spectacular game turned in last week by the Hemingford star.With the Nebraska prep football playoffs already in second-round mode, we have decided to take a look back at some of the top playoff performances from a week ago.
Defending Class A champion Omaha North posted a 4-5 regular season record, however the Vikings appear to be battling back to that same level of play North competed at in order to achieve playoff success, and Jordan Strong's 336-yard rushing effort was a huge step in the right direction for the Vikings.
Lourdes Central Catholic's Hayden Miller took home the top rushing prize for the week after he ran Bloomfield into the ground with his 417-yard effort. Denton Payne of Hemingford, Tyler Holz of Bloomfield and Clearwater/Orchard's Andy Kerkman round out the Top 5.
Now let's take a look at the rest of the fine performances put out by some of Nebraska's top football players last week.

1. Jordan Strong, Omaha NorthStrong led two-time defending Class A champion Omaha North to a 35-17 win over Grand Island by carrying the ball 41 times for 336 yards and five touchdowns.
2. Hayden Miller, Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City)Although his team suffered an 80-48 setback to Bloomfield, Miller stepped up in this contest, throwing for 417 yards and five touchdowns.
3. Denton Payne, HemingfordPayne came up big on defense and special teams last week in a 48-7 win over South Loup. The 5-foot-9, 200-pound junior lineman recovered a fumble and blocked a pair of punts in the triumph. He was also credited with a sack and 10 tackles, including a pair of stops for negative yardage.
4. Tyler Holz, BloomfieldHolz carried the ball 38 times for 381 yards and six touchdowns in guiding the Bees to a first-round 80-48 playoff win over Lourdes Central Catholic.
5. Andy Kerkman, Clearwater/OrchardKerkman was tough to handle on both sides of the ball in a 42-18 win over Dundy County-Stratton. The 6-8 tight end/linebacker caught a pair of balls for 93 yards and a touchdown and was in on 21 tackles, five of which went for negative yardage.
6. Josh Demers, High Plains (Polk)Demers carried the ball 18 times for a whopping 326 yards and six scores in an 84-40 win over Howells-Dodge.
7. Mitch Carlson, Central CityEven though he completed just 17 of 38 passes, Carlson still threw for 298 yards in Central City's 30-7 win over Broken Bow.
8. Noah Vedral, Bishop Neumann (Wahoo)Vedral went about knocking off Ogallala 26-17 with a balanced approach. The 6-2, 180-pound signal caller ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns and threw for an additional 156 yards.
9. Jordan Parker, Papillion-LaVista SouthThe junior cornerback picked off three enemy passes in a huge 56-21 triumph over Omaha Creighton Prep. A week earlier, the Junior Jays had edged Parker and company 13-12.
10. Jadyn Kowalski, Bellevue WestKowalski carried the Thunderbirds to the second round of the playoffs by throwing for 273 yards on 15 of 23 passing and three touchdowns in a 55-7 triumph over Lincoln North Star.
