No. 2 DeSoto scored with less than a minute remaining to defeat previously ranked Coppell in the Class 5A-I playoffs.
Northwestern moves up one spot after another impressive victory over a very good York squad. The team's defense, as well as its storied offense, continues to perform.
In Ohio, Archbishop Moeller defeated previously unbeaten Colerain to make a move up the rankings. It could square off with St. Edward in the Division I final if both squads win this weekend.

1. (1) Washington (Miami), 12-0 Washington notched another impressive win, 45-17 over University.
2. (2) DeSoto (Texas), 12-0In an instant classic, DeSoto escaped with a 34-30 victory over Coppell.
3. (3) Allen (Texas), 12-0Allen pulled away from Horn and won 42-14 in the Class 5A-I playoffs.
4. (4) St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.), 9-0St. Joseph Regional handed Red Bank Catholic its first loss, 28-7. It will face rival Don Bosco Prep on Thanksgiving.
5. (5) St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.), 12-0In the Pac 5 playoffs, Bosco destroyed Tesoro 55-7.
