Video: Grant Gunnell Ultimate HighlightsCareer highlights of 2019 Arizona commit Grant Gunnell.Grant Gunnell is the first two-time winner of the MaxPreps Polynesian Bowl All-Star player of the week award and it was impossible not to give it to him after he broke the Texas all-time career passing yardage mark. He threw for 487 yards and five touchdowns in
St. Pius X's 34-14 win over Concordia Lutheran (Tomball, Texas).
He needed 318 yards going into the game to pass former
Booker (Texas) star
Hunter Lile's mark of 14,408 passing yards and surpassed that total by halftime. The 2019 Arizona commit needs six more passing touchdowns to break the all-time state record. He is currently five behind former
Refugio (Texas) star
Travis Quintanilla's record of 184 touchdowns.
Gunnell has already thrown for 3,221 yards and 37 touchdowns during his senior campaign and now has 14,577 passing yards and 179 touchdowns for his career. The future Pac-12 quarterback moved past Lile, J.R. House, and
Will Grier on the all-time passing list after Friday's performance and is now sixth all-time in high school football history in career passing. He is on pace to move past
Myles Brennan and Chris Leak before his prep career is over and finish fourth all-time. If he throws 16 more touchdowns he will finish his career third all-time, too.

The Braves have been the No. 1 team in the country since the start and they close out the regular season Friday against Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) before the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs start.
Antonio Alfano - Colonia (N.J.)The 2019 Alabama commit is the top rated player from New Jersey for a reason. The 4-star defensive end was in the backfield all game in their 35-7 win over Scotch Plains-Fanwood (N.J.). He finished the night with 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, and forced two fumbles.
