MaxPreps Student SectionOver the past two seasons, the
Sycamore (Cincinnati, Ohio) Aviators high school baseball team has had a consistent star in senior pitcher Kyle Hart. Hart has not only been the best player this week for the Aviators, but he has been the player of the year, and perhaps the best player to take the field for the Aviators since he joined the team his junior season.
Hart currently has the fifth lowest E.R.A in the GMC(Greater Miami Conference), and has pitched for a decision in all five of his starts, going 4-1. Hart, who is known for throwing mid to upper 80's on his fastball, has struck out 48 batters this season in only 28 innings pitched.
"Kyle is one of the best left-handed pitchers in the city," said SHS baseball coach Chris Shrimpton. "He knows how to pitch and we have a chance to win every time he takes the mound."
Hart has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the GMC in his two seasons as a starter for the varsity team, and in his first season as a starter in the ‘09-'10 season, Hart went 5-1 with 55 strikeouts and a 1.98 E.R.A.

Hart's incredible performance during his junior year earned him plenty of attention from high caliber D-I baseball programs. He ended up signing to play baseball at Indiana University.
Hart's skill can be easily summed up by first year SHS varsity pitcher Casey Huchison. Huchison said that Hart was the, "Best player I've ever played with or against".
For Hart, a player of the year recognition would be more fitting than player of the week, because Hart proves himself on the field every day of the season, all season, and has been an all-star for SHS all year.
As Hart continues to craft his skill, not only will his statistics increase, but so will his team's rank in the GMC.
