It was a rough week for the members of the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 High School Baseball National Rankings, as 14 of the top 25 teams lost at least one game, with several losing two.
At this point in the season, a single loss is not usually enough to drop a team from the rankings. However, it might be enough to elevate the team providing that loss into the rankings. That was the case for Dunedin, which used a win over Sarasota last week to move into this week's rankings at No. 11 overall while Sarasota, which lost twice, dropped to No. 12.
Bellaire replaced Klein, which lost twice, while Greenwood took Serra's spot after the Padres lost twice in two days.
Walsh Jesuit continues to sit atop the rankings but will likely get a push now from Rockwall-Heath, a team that has won 31 straight games in Texas. The Hawks will begin district play next week.

Wando has been steady all season except for the lone loss in tournament play. Behind the pitching of All-American Drew Cisco, who picked up his eighth win last week, the Warriors are poised to move into the top spot should the two unbeaten teams ahead of them falter.
And then there is Sumrall, which dropped 10 spots last week to No. 11 following its loss to Oak Grove. The Bobcats picked up two wins last week and watched as six teams ahead of them lost to move back into contention for the No. 1 ranking with a seven-spot jump to No. 4.
MAXPREPS XCELLENT 25 HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL NATIONAL RANKINGS
1. (1) Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), 14-0
The Warriors opened their week as the No. 1 team in the country with a 9-1 victory over St. Vincent-St. Mary as Tyler Skulina ran his record to 4-0 with the victory. He struck out nine in six innings while Johnny Fasola had a double among his two hits and Anthony Marotto had three base hits. In a 16-3 win over Garfield, Fasola and Alex Szmborski both hit home runs, the latter blasting a grand slam. The homer for Fasola was his fifth of the year. The Warriors also played Garfield Heights Trinity in a previously unscheduled game to make up for the cancelled Ohio Jesuit Tournament. Patrick Ammar had two home runs in the game to lead Walsh Jesuit to an 8-3 win. Fasola and Greg Greve combined for 13 strikeouts in the game.
2. (6) Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, Texas), 31-0
The Hawks added two more impressive wins to a spotless resume with a 14-0 win over Richardson Pearce and a 16-1 defeat of Carrollton Turner. Jovan Hernandez, Drew Baxter and Bret Boswell all hit home runs against Pearce while Boswell also went yard against Turner. Hernandez threw a two-hitter in the latter victory.
3. (8) Wando (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.), 22-1
The Warriors clinched the Region VII-AAAA championship with an 11-2 win over James Island on April 21. Drew Cisco pitched a complete game to improve his record to 8-0. He had seven strikeouts and allowed no walks. Connor Bright was 2 for 3 with four RBI while Jordan Eysen was 3 for 4 with a double. The Warriors also defeated Stratford 7-3 with Reid Langdale striking out 11 in the win. The Warriors also shut out Goose Creek 11-0 with Robbie Dodds lashing three hits and Tyler Seeley hitting a home run.
4. (11) Sumrall (Miss.), 27-1
The Bobcats jumped right back into the swing of things with an 8-2 win over St. Aloysius and a 10-0 shutout of Lumberton. Tyler Simmons had a pair of doubles against St. Aloysius, and Jackson Posey picked up the win, striking out seven. Against Lumberton, the Bobcats brought out the lumber as Luke Lowery, Austin Carter and Chase Lewallen all hit home runs.
5. (2) Menchville (Newport News, Va.), 12-1
The Monarchs lost their first game of the season with a 13-5 defeat at the hands of Woodside in a Peninsula League contest. Menchville also defeated Warwick 8-5 and Kecoughtan 3-1 in its others games of the week. The Monarchs led Woodside 4-1 in the fourth inning but the Wolverines cracked 16 hits for the win. Menchville overcame a 15-strikeout peformance by Kecoughtan's Jake Cave to win on a two-run error in the ninth inning.
6. (3) Heritage (Colleyville, Texas), 27-2-1
The Panthers saw their 14-game win streak come to an end on Monday with a 7-1 loss to Keller. Earlier in the week, Heritage topped Bell 10-3 and Keller Central 7-3. Rylan Patel and Cal Bailey both homered against Bell with Patel also adding a double. R.J. Talamantes knocked a double and a triple in the win over Keller Central.
7. (7) Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.), 23-2
Catalina Foothills held the Dorados without a run in handing Canyon del Oro its second loss of the season, 8-0, last week. The Dorados rebounded to beat Flowing Wells 9-2 with Ryan Gerber bashing three hits. Canyon del Oro, which defeated Catalina Foothills earlier in the season, will get another crack at the Falcons in two weeks.
8. (10) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 21-2
Brett Fuller hit a critical three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning to spurt the Monarchs to a 5-1 win over Serra and then blasted a pair of home runs in a 14-4 win over St. Ignatius. Alex Balog also had a home run against St. Ignatius and a two-run base hit against Serra. Tyler Davis went seven innings to get the win over Serra. The Monarchs also lost to Bellarmine 3-2 earlier in the week.
9. (5) McAllen (Texas), 27-3
The Bulldogs wrapped up the No. 1 seed in District 30-5A with a 12-2 win over McAllen Memorial on Thursday, but lost a shocker to La Joya Palmview on Friday, falling 8-5. The loss was the first for McAllen since March 11 and was the first loss in District 30-5A play.
10. (14) Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.), 20-3
The Panthers picked up three impressive wins last week, crushing Shiloh 10-1, Berkmar 10-0 and Brookwood 17-5. Matt Olson was 3 for 5 at the plate and gave up two earned runs on the mound in Parkview's win over Brookwood.
11. (NR) Dunedin (Fla.), 20-3-1
The Falcons enter the rankings after a win over Sarasota last week. Dunedin also has two wins over Seminole, a team that also defeated Sarasota, as well as a victory over Osceola, a team that split with Lake Wales.
12. (4) Sarasota (Fla.), 22-2
The Sailors had a tough week, falling to Dunedin 10-2 on April 17 and then falling to Seminole 1-0 on Wednesday. Keith Curcio gave up five hits and struck out seven in six innings in the loss to Seminole. The Sailors also picked up a 6-4 win over Braden River and head into district play this week.
13. (15) Pace (Fla.), 23-2
Rain washed out Pace's much-anticipated game with Pensacola Catholic. The game will not be rescheduled since both teams begin district play this week.
14. (18) Sts. Neumann & Goretti (Philadelphia), 11-1
The Saints split their games with Archbishop Carroll, falling 7-4 on Monday before avenging the loss with an 11-1 victory on Thursday. Mark Donato struck out 11 batters and also hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to lift the Saints. Albert Baur hit a pair of home runs and Marty Venafro had a three-run shot. In a 16-1 win over Bishop McDevitt on April 20, Donato was 3 for 3 with two RBI.
15. (19) Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pa.), 18-1
The Patriots won twice last week, belting Chestnut Hill 11-1 and squeaking past Malvern Prep 3-2 in 11 innings. Greg Guers was 3 for 3 in the Chestnut Hill win while Chris Harvey was 2 for 4. Keenan Kish went 10 innings in the Malvern Prep game and did not get a decision, despite striking out nine and walking none. Sean Coyle had a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the game and Guers drove in Coyle in the 11th inning for the winning run.
16. (21) Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.), 23-2
The Tigers enter District 9-4A play as the team to beat after disposing of Clearwater Central Catholic 4-1 on Thursday. Lance McCullers had a double and three RBI in the win while Daniel Gipson struck out five in picking up the win.
17 (12) Bolles (Jacksonville, Fla.), 22-3
The Bulldogs dropped their third game of the season, falling to Baker County 4-2. The Bulldogs rebounded with a 13-3 win over Creekside and a 10-6 win over University Christian. David Perkins had four RBI in the Creekside victory while D.J. Stewart, Caleb Denmark and Taylor Betros all hit home runs against University Christian.
18. (23) Pelham (Ala.), 37-3
The Panthers won the first game of their second-round series with Spain Park, 5-0, and trailed 5-0 in the second game when it was suspended due to rain in the third inning. The contest was rescheduled for Monday with a second game slated if needed.
19. (24), Lake Wales (Fla.), 22-3
The Highlanders completed the regular season with a 7-1 win over Liberty and a 5-2 victory over Lake Region.
20. (25) La Cueva (Albuquerque, N.M.), 21-2
The Bears have won 20 games in a row, including a 16-3 victory over Albuquerque 16-3 and a sweep of Sandia on Saturday, 11-8 and 8-0.
21. (16) Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), 24-3
The Huskies split two games with Brophy College Prep, winning 12-7 on Tuesday and falling 15-10 on Friday. In between Hamilton shutout Mountain Pointe 3-0. In the loss, Hamilton banged out 13 hits, but Brophy College Prep had 14, including seven for extra bases. Jorge Flores was 3 for 4 with a double in the loss. in the win over BCP, Flores had a double and a triple, and Colton Frabasilio had a pair of doubles.
22. (17) Madison Central (Miss.), 24-2
The Jaguars fell to Terry for just their second loss of the season, but stay in the rankings thanks to a 5-1 victory over Oak Grove, the team that handed Sumrall its first loss in two years. Josh Laxer went the distance and struck out eight in the win over Oak Grove.

23. (20) Florida Christian (Miami, Fla.), 22-3
The Patriots ended the regular season with a 4-3 loss to Doral Academy, ending an eight-game win streak. Florida Christian is ranked No. 1 in Southern Florida by the Miami Herald.
24. (NR) Bellaire (Texas), 25-3-1
The Cardinals have won six straight since a loss to Westbury on April 1. Included in the streak were 11-0 shutouts of Houston Math Science and Tech and Carnegie Vanguard, a 15-0 win over Madison, a 20-3 win over St. Pius X and a 6-5 win over Westside in which Toller Boardman hit a walkoff home run.
25. (NR) Greenwood (Ark.), 22-1
The Bulldogs have emerged as the top team in Arkansas with the only loss being a 9-4 decision to a strong Bentonville team. Greenwood also handed Shiloh Christian an 11-2 defeat last week along with Siloam Springs 10-2. A big game against defending state champion Fayetteville looms on May 11.
