1. RenoHead coach: Shane Foster
2013-14 record: 30-1
The defending Division I state champions had to say goodbye to seven seniors from a team that blitzed its way through the season. But when you bring back the state player of the year, 6-foot-4
Mallory McGwire, you deserve consideration as the best squad in the state. She scored 15.5 points per game and pulled in 11.7 rebounds per contest.

The Patriots made it to the state title game but ran into the Reno buzzsaw last season. They return UNLV commit
Paris Strawther, a 6-2 forward who was a first-team all-state pick thanks to 12.4 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. Also back is
Kealy Brown, who was third-team all-state as a junior guard with 10.6 points per game.

The young Gaels are going to be a force to be reckoned with, as they are a little bit older. Three juniors will lead the way for a team that made it to the Sunset Division final:
Raychel Stanley (16.7 ppg, 10.1 rpg, second-team all-state),
Madison Washington (15.6 ppg, 10.8 rpg, third-team all-state) and
Megan Jacobs. Once again, they will play teams from many states.
