1. Campbell County (Gillette)
Head coach: Bubba Hladky
2015-16 record: 25-2

The Camels finished in third place at the Class 4A state tournament and return three starters from that team. Senior Lane Tucker returns along with juniors Dawson Miessler and Trey Hladky. Campbell County will miss All-Conference players Kain Morehead and Dalton Holst, who were among the leading scorers in the conference.

2. Douglas
Head coach: Lee Toldson
2015-16 record: 21-7

Douglas reached the Class 3A championship game before falling to Worland 67-51. The Bearcats begin the season as the favorite in the class thanks to the return of three All-Conference players. Ty Larson, a 6-foot-1 guard, earned All-Conference recognition as a junior, as did 6-3 forward Tyrel Leman and 6-2 Eric Jamerman.

3. Rock Springs
Head coach: Blair Einfeldt
2015-16 record: 17-9 Rock Springs finished in first place in the 4A West Division with an 8-2 record and it went 1-2 at the state tournament. The Tigers were also one of the top scoring teams in all of Class 4A last year. Rock Springs will miss All-Conference players Demetrius Davenport and Jared Rodriguez, but the Tigers return the tallest player in the conference in 6-10 center Kelby Kramer.

4. Worland
Head coach: Aaron Abel
2015-16 record: 23-4

Worland won the Class 3A state championship with a win over Douglas and it was led by State Player of the Year Hoyt Nicholas. He is one of four All-Conference players that coach Aaron Abel will have to replace. Worland will have a young team this year, as it did not have a junior on its roster last year.

5. Pine Bluffs
Head coach: Will Gray
2015-16 record: 27-2

Pine Bluffs won the Class 2A state championship with a defense that allowed just under 40 points per game. The Hornets return one of the top scorers the state in senior Hunter Thompson. He was second in Class 2A in scoring as a junior at 20.2 points per game. He also led the class with 10.1 rebounds per game.
