Northwest Area waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams with a sharp 10-0 win. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Dominic Cavuto was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Roman Bednarek was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Northwest Area's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
