1. Central Valley (Spokane Valley)
2015-16 record: 28-0
Head coach: Freddie Rehkow

The Central Valley era of girls high school basketball may be here in Washington. The Bears return their top seven scorers from a team that went 28-0 en route the Class 4A state title in 2015-16. Leading the way will be Lexie Hull (6-1, Jr., G), who averaged 18.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Hull is already committed to Stanford. Twin sister Lacie Hull (6-1, Jr., G), also committed to the Cardinal, added 9.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game during last year's championship season.

2. Bothell
2015-16 record: 24-3
Head coach: Kent Schaefer

The dynamic duo of Taya Corosdale (6-3, Sr., F) and Keyonna Jones (5-8, Sr., G) should keep the Cougars winning big in 2016-17. Corosdale, an Oregon State commit, averaged 18.3 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots per game as a junior while Jones added 14.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

3. Lynnwood (Bothell)
2015-16 record: 26-1
Head coach: Brent Hudson Gone is former head coach Everett Edwards, who turned Lynnwood into a state power, and State Player of the Year and Oregon State signee Mikayla Pivec. But six of eight players who saw regular action are back, including Kaprice Boston (5-10, Sr., G/F), Kelsey Rogers (6-1, Sr., C) and Taylor Fahey (5-7, Sr., G).

4. Moses Lake
2015-16 record: 25-1
Head coach: Matt Strophy

Moses Lake standout Jamie Loera plays alongside the aforementioned Hull twins of Central Valley on the Spokane Stars club team. And in fact the Chieftains' lone loss a year ago came to Central Valley in the Class 4A quarterfinals. Nine players are back from that team, including All-Tournament pick Loera. Older sisters Jessie (Gonzaga) and Jordan (Oregon) have both gone on to play major college basketball.

5. Mercer Island
2015-16 record: 20-6
Head coach: Gillian D'Hondt

Three of Mercer Island's losses a year ago came to undefeated and nationally ranked Class 3A champion Bellevue. Seven regulars are back, including Dartmouth commitment Anna Luce. The 6-2 senior forward posted 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game during last season's 20-win campaign.
