Lacrosse's popularity seems to grow every year. And with plays like the one from
Jason Intermesoli of
Sayville (N.Y.), it's easy to see the appeal of lacrosse.
The Golden Flashes standout didn't just put one in the net, he did it with style to earn the United States Coast Guard Top Play.
Intermesoli attacked the goal, but found himself surround by three defenders. Undaunted, but now on his knees and with his back to the net, the senior fired a no-look, over-the-shoulder rocket that slipped past the stunned goalie.
The element of surprise, good timing, a whole lot of skill and a little bit of luck all add to Intermesoli's amazing goal and a Top Play.
