The UIL softball state championships begin Thursday and run through Saturday at Red & Charline McCombs Field in Austin. All 11 games can be streamed live on the
NFHS Network.
National No. 1
Melissa will square off against No. 8
Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu) in the Conference 5A Division 1 state championship Friday.
Melissa has hit a national record 121 home runs this season with
Hutton Adrian,
Finlee Williams,

Paisley Needham each hitting at least 10.
No. 18
Forney will take on No. 21
Kingwood in another matchup between nationally-ranked teams Saturday in Conference 6A Division 2. Forney lost its first game in the semifinal series against Guyer (Denton) before sweeping the final two en route to the final.
No. 5
Lake Creek (Montgomery) brings its 36-0 record into the Conference 5A Division 2 title game against
Hallsville. The Lions reached the state semifinal in 2024.
