Caleb Powell threw three touchdowns and ran for four more as
Oklahoma Christian Academy (Edmond, Okla.) beat Waurika (Okla.) 52-6 on Saturday.
The lead that the Eagles took on a Powell touchdown pass to
Nathaniel Garner with 9:00 to go in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Waurika's only touchdown came on a 40-yard run by Blaine Shockley in the first quarter.
Oklahoma Christian Academy has had a tough season, allowing 39.2 points per game. But OCA tightened up and held the Eagles above their season average of 1.6 points per game.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Edmond school, which was coming off a 55-8 defeat at the hands of Fox in its previous game. The loss was the fourth in a row for Waurika.
