Video: This is a bat THROWNorth Johnston's Steven Worley does monster bat flip following game-winning hit
We've seen "epic" bat flips all season long in high school baseball. But this one by
Steven Worley of
North Johnston (Kenly, N.C.) takes it to a whole new level - albeit one that is a little dangerous.
Worley blasted the game-winning hit to defeat North Pitt and help the Panthers secure the No. 1 seed heading into the Class 2A playoffs. The excited Worley immediately flung the spinning bat toward his own dugout just before his elated teammates stormed the field.
Unfortunately, the Panthers couldn't quite feed off the momentum and fell in the playoffs. Worley ended the season with a .274 average, 20 hits and nine RBIs, none bigger than this memorable moment.
