Duncanville (Texas) went from unranked to a spot in the Top 25 after handing DeSoto its first loss since 2015. They have one of the best defenses in Texas and are allowing less than 10 points per game in 2017.
Ja'Quinden Jackson led the way on offense finishing the night with nearly 200 total yards and a score in the 24-14 victory.
Watch the video above to see where Duncanville landed in this week's rankings. Ben Davis (Indianapolis) started its road to a ninth state title last week with a hard fought 33-20 win against a very good Lawrence Central team in the opening round of the 6A Indiana state playoffs.
Johnny Adams rushed for 141 yards to lead the Giants. Up next is a matchup against Warren Central. The two schools have combined for 16 state titles.
Central (Miami) moved up a few spots in this week's rankings after outscoring Carol City 19-0 in the fourth quarter and beating its rival 26-13.
James Cook is the No. 3 running back in the Class of 2018, but did it on the other side of the ball on Friday. He had three, fourth-quarter interceptions and returned two for scores. The recent Georgia commit is on the short list of candidates to be named the 2017 National Football Player of the Year.
Jumping into the Top 5 after winning its 53rd consecutive regular season game on Friday was
Allen (Texas). The Eagles cruised to a 49-14 win against McKinney and 2018 Arizona State commit
Brock Sturges led the way rushing for 210 yards and three scores. Allen is winning by an average margin of 32.4 points per game through its first eight games of the season.
