MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings: South Region

The Mississippi Class 6A playoffs feature two big matchups this week and all four teams are current members of the MaxPreps South Region Football Computer Rankings.

No. 1 Starkville will take on Clinton, which entered the rankings this week at No. 11. Meanwhile South Panola, ranked No. 3 in the region, will meet Southaven, which entered the rankings this week at No. 25. The winners of those two games will face each other the following week in the semifinals.

Meanwhile Montgomery Bell Academy (Nashville, Tenn.) defeated McCallie for the second time in three weeks to jump into the rankings at No. 14. Other teams to enter the rankings this week included Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) at No. 15 and Ravenwood (Brentwood, Tenn.) at No. 19.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
